I just bought a SanDisk 256 GB SD Card from Amazon (through a vendor) and it was a knockoff. It was actually a no-name 32 GB card that showed up as "256 GB" when you put it into the computer. But it only held 32 GB of data.

Just doing my best to answer the question, friend. When it says "shipped and sold by Amazon.com", it means that it is offered through the vendor distribution network - supplied either directly from the manufacturer or an approved distributor of the brand

The deals are being offered by Amazon's vendor network, or those that are approved distributors of the respective brands. They also have a no-questions asked policy on returns fulfilled by Amazon, so if ever in doubt, just send it back for full refund.

So not only do you have to spend money but also spend your time to determine if it is not counterfeit and return it if it is. Not saying it is a bad deal but don't forget to factor in your personal time better spent elsewhere.

Yeah I became suspicious because the packaging looked a bit cheap. Then I ran h2testw (which takes like 10 hours) and it confirmed that the card can only hold 32 GB.
