I'm currently fat and trying to be less so. Would this be a decent shoe for transitioning from walking to running? I know nothing about running shoes and it seems like everything I read is geared towards those already in the know.

I'd probably recommend something more comfortable and well-known for running, like Saucony or Brooks. You might want to go to a local sporting store like Dick's to see what your foot is like too. Depending on if you pronate or supinate (how your foot lands when you walk/run), you could benefit more from certain shoes than others. Below is a good guide (going to a store is easier than the steps it has).

As the other dude said, get an actual running shoe. This isn't it. This is more for general training purpose around the gym.

If you're really fat it's going to be an uphill battle to running. Your best bet is to get a good walking shoe. You're going to blow through several sets of walking shoes until you officially need running shoes.

Question:

I do postmates/doordash, so basically do a lot of walking, going up stairs, downstairs, jogging, etc.

Do you know if there will wear out easily?

I Currently use new balance 890 (running shoes). I have gone through the shoe about 1 pair per year. The soles don't last long, but the exterior looks new, but soles are completely worn.

I am digging the style but I have a big backlog of Reebok and Adidas sneakers so I am going to pass. Reebok makes great training sneakers. I got 2 pairs of JJII and 1 pair of Nano 8.
